Rocky Mountain Horses

Pegasus Stables is located in Mount Washington, Kentucky; a family owned and operated farm and home of Pegs Therapeutic Ponies. Our stables is beautifully landscape with a flavor of our Old Kentucky Home. Our colors are red and white, the Kentucky Cornels favorite.

An additional site to view on our grounds is an authentic historical slave quarter cabin;we call the Shelby House, which was relocated to our farm in the year of 2000. We start all our summer camps on the front porch of this unique and scenic cabin.

In addition we have a farm in Taylorsville, Kentucky just fifteen minutes away from our home Stables. Here in the mist of the woods, sits a one-room cabin. And looking far off over the rolling hills, in the bottoms, a run in shed. We are able to rotate pastures several times during the year so the horse can be a horse. Here is where they have many acres to roam and form a herd.

We acquire so much when sitting quietly in the meadow among the herd. We learn and understand the horse when allowed to be in a natural herd environment as well as being able to find yourself. Here the horses can run free and be at freedom but yet find his pecking order among the herd. We utilize this order to help train each individual horse in our natural horsemanship program.

We learn the true value of a horse; they are our friends and are apart of our life and
family.
